It had been decided that due to the Covid virus still being with us the Ceremonial would take place before a reduced number of approximately 120 brethren.
The Brethren witnessed a first class working of the Ritual by the Immediate Past Grand Master, Brother Charles Iain Robert Wolrige Gordon of Esslemont who brought his own personal touch to the proceedings. The Commissioned Office-Bearers were likewise installed in a most personable manner by the Immediate Past Grand Master.
The Immediate Past Grand Master was thanked for his efforts by Provincial Grand Master Brother Irving. Thereafter an address to the Province and a Presentation of a Wonderfully crafted Past Provincial Grand Masters Jewel to Brother Forrest IPPGM.
Brother Alan McIlwraith Provincial Grand Almoner then made the appeal on behalf of Prostate Scotland.
The function Suite looked magnificent, and the brethren enjoyed a five-course dinner after which The Toast List ensued with every toast being well received by the brethren. During the toast to the Grand Lodge of Scotland the Provincial Grand Master presented a cheque for £15,000 for the Grand Lodge Benevolent Fund and a cheque for £1000 to Prostate Scotland for which the Immediate Past Grand Master profusely thanked the brethren of Dunbartonshire. The evening concluded with "Auld Lang Syne" and the National Anthem. All in all brethren a most successful and memorable day and look forward to the next five years with great anticipation hoping that profit and pleasure will be our reward.
