On Saturday, 18th February 2023, a Regular meeting of Lodge Cadder Argyle No 147 was opened by the Master Brother Morrow.

A Large and Distinguished deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire headed by PGM Brother Irving entered the Lodge and were presented with the Lodge Mallet.  Brother William Hugh Cairns IPM was presented to the brethren and Brother Irving gave a resume of Brother Cairns extensive Masonic career.  Thereafter Brother Cairns was presented with the jewel and diploma relative to Honorary Grand Senior Deacon, this rank having been conferred upon him by the Grand Master Mason at the Grand Lodge Communication of 24th November 2022. Brother Cairns then made suitable reply which was greeted with loud applause from the brethren. Thereafter a fine Fellowcraft Degree conferred by The Athole Lodge No. 384 was witnessed by all present.  An evening song and stories followed at Harmony.
