In December 2019 a large number of brethren including the Grand Master Mason Bro W. Ramsay McGhee and Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest attended Lodge Saint Patrick No 1309 to acknowledge and congratulate Past Provincial Grand Master and Past Substitute Grand Master Bro Angus Neil MacInnes on having completed 70 years as a member of the Scottish Craft.

Following this meeting it was discussed and agreed that this marvellous achievement should be acknowledged by Provincial Grand Lodge and therefore arrangements were put in place whereby a presentation would be made to Bro MacInnes at the Annual Communication of Provincial Grand Lodge in January 2020 however this could not take place as Bro MacInnes was indisposed and as we are aware the following communications in April, July and now for the foreseeable future were cancelled. Therefore, on Saturday,15th August 2020 PGM Bro Forrest attended at the home of Bro MacInnes and on behalf of all the brethren presented him with a Distinguished Service Diploma together with an inscribed decanter and glasses. Bro MacInnes responded in his usual inimitable style thanking everyone concerned for their consideration and kindness.
