On Saturday,24th March 2018 Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro James T Kennedy attended the annual PGL Games competition in the premises of Lodge Leven St John No 170, the change of day and time definitely worked with 40 brethren being present which resulted in 10 teams of 4, the following lodges were represented 716,321,1572,170,384,195,18 & 503.

The usual games of dominoes, darts, carpet bowls and pool were eagerly contested and at the conclusion the result was a tie between 170 team c and 1572, the rules for a tie were the respective captains would nominate 2 players and propose the game they would like, on the event that they could not agree on the game then a toss of the coin  would take place and the victors would nominate the game, 170 c won the toss and nominated carpet bowls, the players for the play off were as follows, representing 170 Bros Muir & Connell, representing 1572 Bros Woods and Malaney, 170 were hot favourites as Bro Connell is a fine bowls player and in the best of 5 ends quickly raced into a 2-0 lead however a storming comeback resulted in 1572 being victorious by 3-2.

All present were treated to a wonderful spread of soup, pies, bridies, sausage rolls and sandwiches. Bro Muir organised the day magnificently and all went like clockwork, a really super day was had by all at Renton.
