The Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire Fishing Competition was held on Saturday,12th May 2018 at Swanswater Fishery, Sauchieburn. The weather was sunny and very warm.

21 anglers took part which included 2 visitors. A total of 38 fish were caught with 6 anglers managing to catch their 4 fish limit. The heaviest single fish was caught by George Kerr from Lodge Bearsden weighing in at 5lb 12oz.

The team competition was won by Lodge Clydebank 1234 represented by Malcolm Macdonald and John McQueen with 8 fish weighing in at 24lb 10oz and the runners up were David Brown and Ian Brown representing Lodge Dumbarton Kilwinning No 18 with a total catch of 6 fish weighing in at 17lb 4oz. Prizes were presented to the winners by Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest who congratulated all concerned on what was a most enjoyable days competition.
