Saturday 16th May 2009 proved to be a very fine day for fishing. This was shown to be the case when 18 anglers, representing 6 lodges in the Province, took to the banks of Lawfield Fishery in Kilmacolm for the PGL Annual Fishing Competition. The contest started brightly and a few fish were caught almost immediately which augured well for the day ahead. The tempo of the fish caught remained steady throughout the day and the final results were as follows:

McGregor Trophy (Team Prize for the heaviest bag @ 19lbs 6oz)

Winner : The Athole Lodge No 384 (Bros. A McNaughton & T McGregor).

Jardine Trophy (Heaviest individual fish @ 5lbs 2oz)

Winner : Bro. Ian Brown of DKL No 18.
