For many years it has been the custom at the daughter lodge installations to take up a collection on behalf of the residents of Marcus Humphrey House.

The money collected plus many raffle prizes which are returned to Provincial Grand Lodge to be donated to the fund is turned into wines, spirits, sweets etc and provides comforts to the residents which normal funding cannot provide. On Tuesday, 16th December 2014 the Provincial Grand Master Bro John Reid McCormack, accompanied by various office bearers and two members from Lodge Ellangowan No 716 attended at Marcus Humphrey House and delivered a huge quantity of said items to be enjoyed by the residents. Members of staff Wilma and Senga expressed their appreciation on behalf of the residents for the generous contribution which undoubtedly would add to the festive spirit.
