On Friday,15th November 2019 Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest accompanied by a deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge attended Lodge Clydebank No 1234.

Having been welcomed into the lodge by the Master Bro Allan Dalzell and having assumed the chair of the lodge Bro Forrest requested that Past Master Bro George Close be presented to him after which Provincial Grand Master outlined the service given to the lodge by Bro Close particularly mentioning that he has been lodge Almoner for 29 years.

Thereafter Bro Close had the Honorary Rank of Provincial Grand Almoner conferred upon him. Bro Close made suitable reply and thereafter the brethren witnessed a second degree conferred by the Master and Office bearers of Lodge St John Dalmuir No 543 upon two candidates.
