On Thursday,5th April 2018 a deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire headed by Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest attended Lodge Cadder Argyle No 147 to carry out the annual visitation.

That part of the business having been concluded the Master of the Lodge Bro James McPherson Anderson invited the lodge Director of Ceremonies to present Bro John R McCormack, Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master to the assembled brethren. Thereafter he conferred Honorary Membership of the lodge upon Bro McCormack who made suitable reply. The work of the evening was not done however and thereafter Bro William H Cairns, P.M. of the Lodge and Hon PGM Depute was introduced to the Brethren.

A detailed resume of his masonic career was given by Bro John Shearer P.M. and he was then presented with his 50 year diploma. Bro Cairns expressed his thanks to the lodge and recalled some of the main events which had occurred during his membership of the lodge. Thus concluded a very busy and enjoyable evening at Lodge Cadder Argyle.
