On Wednesday 21st May 2014, Lodge Barrhill No 1444 held a regular meeting within The Masonic Temple, Kilsyth. A deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire headed by The Provincial Grand Master Bro John. R. McCormack was in attendance to see a 2nd Degree be carried out by Lodge Kyle Kildrum No 1602.

However prior to the ceremonial, the RWM of Lodge Barrhill, Bro Derek Grindlay, requested that the Director of Ceremonies present the Provincial Grand Master to him. Thereafter Honorary Membership of the Lodge was conferred on the Provincial Grand Master who thanked the Master and Brethren for the honour bestowed upon him. A fine rendering of the 2nd degree ceremonial was carried out by the brethren of Lodge Kyle Kildrum after which all retired for an evening of harmony.
