Gathering of Lodges Practising the MacBride Ritual

A number of lodges practise what is recognised as the MacBride Ritual of Working, so named after Bro Andrew S MacBride, Past Master of Lodge Progress No 873 and Leven St John No 170.

A yearly celebration has been held by these lodges and the fifth such meeting was held on Monday,18th September 2017 at Lodge St Patrick No 1309.

The RWM of Lodge St Patrick, Bro David Donaldson welcomed some 80 brethren into the lodge and thereafter a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire headed by Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest entered the lodge. This deputation also included the PGM of Glasgow Bro James Campbell Peddie. Office bearers of Lodge 1309 thereafter carried out an excellent Mark Master Mason Ceremonial. A dinner provided by the ladies of the lodge was thoroughly enjoyed by all followed by a toast list with the main speaker being Angus N MacInnes, Past Provincial Grand Master of Dunbartonshire who in proposing a toast to MacBride outlined the mans thoughts and masonic practices.
