On Wednesday,19th September 2018 a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire headed by the Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest attended Lodge Barrhill Twechar No 1444.

Formalities having been exchanged between Bro Forrest and the Master Bro Gavin Black Brown, a resume of the service provided to the lodge by Past Master Bro William A Stafford was outlined by Bro Brown and thereafter Bro Stafford was presented with a Distinguished Service Membership Certificate.

Bro Stafford who was initiated in 1963 and held the office of Master in 1981 thereafter made suitable reply. Following the presentation the Brethren were treated to a first class rendition of the Mark Ceremonial carried out by the office bearers of The Kirkintilloch Lodge, St John Kilwinning  No 28 under the leadership of their Master Bro John A Burns and the Mark Master of the evening Bro Thomas K Leckenby P.M. The P.G.M. Bro Forrest made comment on the proceedings of the evening expressing his congratulations to Bro Stafford and delight at witnessing such a fine working of the Mark Ceremonial.
