On Thursday, 26th October, 2017 the Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest, accompanied by Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master Bro John R McCormack and Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro James T Kennedy attended Lodge Caledonian St John Royal Arch No 195.

A warm welcome was extended to the deputation by the Master Bro Maxwell Fulton Gray who thereafter asked that Bro John Fraser be presented to him. Bro Fraser originally joined Lodge Buchlyvie in 1967 but upon that lodge becoming dormant he affiliated to Lodge 195 where he has held various offices but mainly has performed the duties of Inner Guard. His attendance record being exemplary is more remarkable in that he has a round trip of some 50 miles to get to the lodge meetings.

Bro Fraser was then presented with a 50 year diploma and congratulated by the Master and Provincial Grand Master after which he gave his thanks to the lodge. His remarks were greeted with warm applause. After the presentation an illustrated talk was given to the brethren by Bro David Donaldson, RWM of Lodge St Patrick N0 1309 which was greatly appreciated by all present.
